signed

a few things have happened

i finished writing my novel, now titled 'The Reactive', on the 1st of September 2013.

since then, i've been offered a publishing contract by Umuzi, an imprint of Random House Struik [now under Penguin Random House].

i've signed the contract.

i feel pleased to be joining a roster that includes some of my favourite South African authors.

my novel will appear later this year.

i'm looking forward to providing you with more details about the book.

i'm hoping that, in what i've managed to do, it will introduce something 'new' or even 'unprecedented' in the South African literary landscape.

a decade ago, i published my first short story.

i feel like i've spent a lot of the time in between thinking about writing.

now i'm signed to a major.

i feel like i can put 'writer' in my 'twitter bio', now, or something.
